Banana Bay Resort Key West

The cabana rooms by the pool are awesome, with a totally different vibe from the rest of the hotel. I stayed during Fantasy Fest, when the place was under new ownership, and had a great time. The bartender was super. After a circus-like day running around Duval Street, I loved coming back, sitting in the rocking chairs by the beach, and watching the sunset with a pina colada in hand. I swam in the water by the boat ramp and dolphins came over to swim with me. I can't promise that will happen to anyone else, but it felt kind of magical. Enjoy!

Not worth it! We had booked a double-bed room, but when we arrived, we found out only one bed was available. We called and were told they were sold out. Hotels in Key West were beyond our budget, so we drove an hour back in the middle of the night and had to get another room at a different hotel. They also charged us extra fees that hadn't been included when we first reserved.

We booked on a whim after coming into town, and the staff really made our trip. Jason was phenomenal, helpful and honest about what to do, and made our stay amazing. We even left a tablet in the room, and they kindly called to arrange its return. Our window looked out over the Gulf, and it was gorgeous. The bed and shower were nice, and so was the pool. The hot tub wasn't warm enough for us to get in, though we would have liked to. Thanks again!

The staff were nice, and I enjoyed the stay. I liked that the resort sits back from the road and has a great view of the water. The pool was refreshing, and the room was nice, though dated and in need of some fixes. We didn't have any problems while we were there. I agree with other reviews that this feels more like a motel than a resort. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only at the front desk and in the room where there is perfect.
