Harborside Motel Marina

The houseboat was comfortable and clean, with a covered raised deck for relaxing and an average-sized pool. The location is near the amenities, the staff were very friendly, and on-site free parking wasn't a problem. There's a grocery store a four-minute drive away. Key West stays are expensive, and this would be pricey for two people, but the houseboat sleeps four, with two queen beds in one room and a sofa bed. The full kitchen has pots and pans, but only a limited number of cups, glasses, and cutlery. There were no kitchen towels, so it wouldn't be ideal for a weeklong stay if you plan to cook a lot. The coffee pot is in the cabinet.

For Key West, the price was reasonable, and the room was clean and simple. Check-out was supposed to be at 11:00 AM, but at 10:15 AM the cleaning lady knocked and said it was 10:00 AM and that we needed to leave as soon as possible because she had a busy day. We had to rush out earlier than planned. I found that behavior unacceptable and very unprofessional.

Room #14 felt private and quiet, right along the harbor. It had its own little parking spot and a patio with a table and chairs where we had morning coffee. Inside was spacious, with everything we needed: a kitchen sink, microwave, TV, good-sized refrigerator, trash can, dishes, cups, silverware, coffee maker, and toaster. The WiFi and AC worked well, and the bed, pillows, and bath towels were comfortable. It felt like having our own little air bnb. Duval St. isn't too far away, a short Uber ride, though we walked one day for exercise and it took us 30 minutes. Definitely recommend.

A little dated, but clean and comfortable, and more reasonably priced than other places to stay in key west. The harbor surroundings were nice, and we walked about a mile to dinner. Would recommend.
