stayAPT Suites Killeen-Fort Cavazos

The customer service was awful. We booked for two weeks, but when we arrived, they said we couldn’t pay with a prepaid card. Following their recommendation, we switched the reservation to my son’s name, got confirmation, moved money around, and returned. Then they refused us again, saying it wasn’t in their system, even though it appeared on our account and Hotels.com. The woman seemed more interested in getting off work than helping paying customers. Honestly, I feel our being a mixed-race family and not dressed up because we were moving had a lot to do with it.

The apartment-style room was great, clean, and in a quiet area. We stayed for three days and would come back and recommend it. Our first interaction wasn’t so good: when I asked about early check-in, the desk attendant said no with a lot of attitude. I was fine with that, but when I asked to use a restroom, she again said no rudely. A few hours later, a different attendant was much more pleasant. I’d noticed a bathroom while waiting, so I asked her if she would have let me use it earlier, and she said that wouldn’t be a problem. It seemed to be the first person on duty who was the issue.

The suite at stayAPT Suites Killeen-Fort Cavazos was clean, roomy, and well equipped, and check-in was easy with friendly staff. It’s a comfortable, convenient place for a short stay in the area. I did notice a few minor maintenance problems and some occasional noise, but it’s still a dependable option.

I wouldn’t choose this place if you want a welcoming, comfortable stay. Staff were very rude and didn’t seem to care much about guest safety. The supervisor was especially disrespectful and lacking in empathy, and seemed more interested in throwing their authority around than dealing with real concerns. Book somewhere else.
