The location was the one thing we liked. We booked because they allowed pets, but when we walked our dog to the car, a woman on staff told us dogs had to be taken across the street to another public area. A guest in the next room also told us his door had no deadbolt. He said he had to push the front desk to get one installed after they told him it wasn't necessary for his safety. We later saw someone fixing it. Our room had dust, crumbs, and hair on the table, under the beds, and in the bathroom. The thermostat never came on, so we couldn't adjust the temperature. The bathroom fan made a loud grinding metal sound, and the light couldn't be switched on without it. We sometimes used the bathroom in the dark to avoid the noise, and felt bad for the people in nearby rooms. Brown stains ran down the bathroom walls and ceiling, the shower looked awful, and the sink drained poorly. There was mold around the window and a mildew smell. I won't bring my family back. We noticed the King City Inn next door allows pets too and looked cleaner from outside. We'll try it next time we're in King City, CA.

We had little choice of hotels in the area, so we ended up here. Our first room smelled like smoke, and they moved us to a second one. Both rooms were tiny, with one bed pushed against a wall and the other against the heater. The room was filthy, with stained curtains and dirt marks everywhere. The bathroom was gross, and the shower and floor area were dirty. The door's flip lock was so loose it wouldn't stop anyone. They gave us two towels, including a hand towel that was torn and badly stained. There was just one small bar of soap for both the shower and sink, and no shampoo, conditioner, laundry bags, or hair dryer. Not a great place to spend Christmas Eve. I wish we'd had another option. I'd never stay here again or recommend it.

The room was tiny and its security locks were broken, though the bed was clean and comfortable. Pets were allowed at no extra charge, the location was convenient, and I ate at Surf n Turf. The staff were polite, but seemed to be struggling. I was also shown a paper listing around 25 or more room complaints. The main problem was that the TV service was down, which was especially hard for me because I have medical issues and sleep problems, and TV helps. The guy explained they were having major service trouble. He tried to move me from a King to a Queen, and it felt like excuses at first, but he was being honest about the issue. I cancelled the return stay I'd booked and went home instead. That meant missing my granddaughter's 16th birthday today, which broke my heart. He mentioned a discount, but I never got one. I wouldn't recommend the place or come back, even for a discount. Maybe it would've felt different if I'd had someone with me. Oh well.

They were open when I arrived well after midnight, just as they said on the phone. The motel is close to the freeway, but far enough away that I couldn't hear traffic at night. A girl seemed to be learning the job while her manager showed her how things worked. He seemed to run a tight ship. The room was clean, the shower had great pressure, and the bed was clean and cozy. After a terrible stay at a Motel6 in Phoenix, this one felt much closer to the Motel 6 stays I've had before. I know it's a no-frills place, but it's affordable and pet friendly, and sometimes you just need somewhere to sleep. This one did the job and restored my faith in Motel 6.

The sheets were clean, the room was clean enough, and the bed was comfortable. Pretty much the only good things about the stay. We had two bars of soap but no shampoo or other amenities. The bathroom fan rattled so badly it sounded like it might come off the wall, and the pillows were awful. When I asked the host for two more, he said rudely, “I can’t leave the desk unattended. There’s just no way.” I wondered how far away the pillows could be. I'm definitely not staying here again.
