Residence Inn King of Prussia

The room was spotless when I arrived, with a really comfortable, clean bed, a strong hot shower, a working TV, a lovely view, and a handy mini kitchen. The front desk lady, though, was rude throughout the trip and acted like housekeeping was a huge hassle.

Scott was at the Residence Inn by Marriott King of Prussia reception when I went to collect my laundry. City Express By Marriott King of Prussia has no washing machine, and a worker there had said I could wash my clothes at the Residence Inn by Marriott King of Prussia. Scott complained that I had contacted Marriott support about him and was rude to me. He didn’t want to return my clothes after they’d been washed. I kept asking, and eventually he opened the laundry room and handed them over. It was disgusting. This is how Marriott treats Ambassador Members? After this, I’ve lost the desire to stay at Marriott hotels again. It was far too rude, especially after I spent so much money at the Residence Inn by Marriott King of Prussia last year. I had stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott King of Prussia for two full months a year ago and spent a ton of money there. I’m also a Marriott Ambassador. During this visit, I stayed at the nearby City Express By Marriott King of Prussia. The two hotels share a general manager and workers. Breakfast at the City Express By Marriott King of Prussia was practically nonexistent. There were eggs and nothing else. When I asked the front desk, they suggested I go next door to the Residence Inn by Marriott King of Prussia. I asked the woman at that front desk if I could eat there since my hotel had no food, and she said yes. But during breakfast, an employee named Scott came over and told me I couldn’t eat there because I was staying at the other hotel. I explained that my hotel only had eggs and that its receptionist had told me I could come over. He said he would speak to her, then forbade me from having breakfast there.

I’ve stayed here a few times and had a wonderful experience before, but this visit was different. The room was very clean. When I asked on chat for a first-floor room, I was assigned the third floor, so I asked again. The Front Desk Supervisor looked bothered, though she did move me to the first floor. Later, when I requested linen, she again seemed annoyed and said she’d have to go to the third floor to get some. After she brought it, I decided to buy anything else I needed rather than ask for more. She was nice nasty.

The manager later comped half the room price because the bedroom TV was broken, but I’m still very disappointed and may not return to this location. We paid over $500 for one night, three times the usual rate because of the PGA Tour and other events, and then were told there’d be an extra charge for checking out early, even though I’d asked for a late checkout. Unbelievable. I’d stayed here several times over the past year or two without a problem. This time, the bedroom TV was cracked and broken, and there were dirty cups on the counter. I called the front desk, and the person said the engineer was busy with the pool but someone would come up. More than an hour passed. Before we left, I told the desk they could enter while we were out, but then they said nobody would fix the TV because they were too busy and the hotel was sold out. I moved the living room TV into the bedroom because I need a TV to sleep. The next morning, when I checked out at 10 a.m., I was told I’d be charged extra for checking out early. Are you kidding me?
