Comfort Inn

I expected basic cleanliness and courtesy, even at a Quality Inn, but this location didn't meet those minimum standards. We had arranged for a second key so I could get in later without waking the family. Nobody came to the desk after I rang the bell several times, and I eventually found the key under a sticky note and reached over to take it. It didn't work, so I had to knock and wake everyone anyway. My wife was also given attitude when she asked for another blanket. The breakfast was terrible even by low-budget hotel standards. The coffee was cold, so I had to go find some at McDonald's.

The rooms felt dingy and badly in need of updating, and the pool was closed with no water in it. The bathtub had soap scum, the conditioner bottle was empty, and a hospital-style slipper sock fell out of the comforter on one of the beds. Breakfast was awful: watered-down waffle batter and gravy, very cold eggs, and no bowls for cereal. I could hear the microwave being used to start breakfast at 4:30 a.m. I'm not spending points or money to stay here again.

For an affordable overnight stop, this place was comfortable and convenient. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the front-desk staff helpful. Being near the interstate worked well for our road trip, and the complimentary breakfast added value. It's a simple property, but it provided dependable comfort for the price.

The place felt run down. The lawn looked like it hadn't been mowed in months, and the room was okay but needed cosmetic work. Breakfast was awful, so I wouldn't stay again. I also couldn't get in through the end door since it was exit-only, which was a pain.
