Super 8 by Wyndham Kingsland

We were gone within five minutes. The first room had a kicked-in door with no handle or keypad reader, and the second had cockroaches everywhere. Terrible place to stay. Booking.com shouldn't list it as habitable. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, not even someone who is homeless.

The front desk's older man was very kind, but that was the only good part of the stay. I booked a King bed online, then was told there were none left and given a double twin room. The room had cockroaches, stained sheets, a hole in the blanket, chipped paint, and dirt and hair on the floor. It reeked of marijuana so badly that my clothes still smelled of it when I did laundry two days later. In the morning, I woke up to a cockroach crawling across the pillow right by my face. I know it's a budget hotel, but I'd happily pay over $50 to never stay here again.

The front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. The rest of the facility was disgusting: dirty rooms, holes in the walls, and stains on the towels and chair. There was trash everywhere, plus junked car parts lined up in the parking lot.

The walls and baseboards looked like they hadn't been wiped down in ages. I know it's a long-stay motel, but they still need to clean the rooms meant for overnight guests. It could use pest control, too. At least there were no bed bugs.
