Motel 6 Knoxville, TN - East

For the price, I can’t complain too much. It’s good value for a short stay, as long as you’re not expecting anything fancy. I was there for one night. The staff weren’t especially friendly, but they weren’t rude; they just did their jobs. The bathroom was clean enough. One bed was clean, though the comforter on the other had stains.

The extra fees for my kids were frustrating, apparently because we were considered too many. The room was nothing like the photos, either. Floors seemed never to be cleaned: my toddler walked around in socks and they turned BLACKKK, like she’d been outside. The bed boards were sticky and gross, and the bathroom had nasty toilet paper. Want a good time? Book somewhere else, trust me.

I’m looking for a clean place to sleep, ideally with a fridge since I bring most of my meals. I don’t need art on the walls or the latest bedding style. Regular renovations just show up in what I pay! The bed was comfortable, the room basically clean, and the shower was hot with a high showerhead. There’s some wear and tear, and it could probably use a deep clean.

The staff were fantastic, lovely, and helpful, which makes it hard to leave a bad review. There was a hygiene problem and the equipment was old. They offered to move me because of an issue with the toilet, but I was only there for two nights and declined.
