Hotel Eastin

The rooms are small, as you’d expect in an older hotel, and you can’t adjust the temperature in each room. An extra blanket would’ve helped when it was cold, and a working fan would’ve been useful when it got hot. I really enjoyed the Western decor, though. It was the best value in town, and I WOULD come back.

We had to stop here overnight because of an emergency, and the stay turned out to be one of the best parts of the trip. It’s an old building with some charming quirks, but it’s leagues ahead of the nearby motels. I loved the paintings and decor, and my husband enjoyed the downstairs lobby and breakfast.

The room had a cowboy theme and two comfortable full-size beds. The bathroom was small but did the job, though the shower itself was small and the head was low. It took a few minutes for the hot water to come through, but once it did, it was hot. The lobby was neat and clean, with plenty of seating, plus supplies to make your own coffee or tea in several flavors. I’d definitely stay again.

Bedbugs. I had to stay here for work this past week and noticed I was getting bitten. I took photos and a video of the bugs and showed the woman at the front desk while asking for a refund. She shrugged it off as though it were normal. She later said she’d refund me, and I saw the refund in my bank account today, but then the hotel charged me again. I’m disgusted. The front desk staff member was completely unprofessional and seemed not to care about guests’ well-being or keeping the place clean. I know there’s always some risk when staying in hotels, but the lack of customer service and accountability was absolutely diabolical. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
