Layla and Rosie treated us like paying customers and did their best to help. Krystal Rivera, the manager, was rude and showed no customer service skills. She acted like she was better than me. I called Rosie Tuesday night, December 30th 2025, to check in and said we’d stay through Saturday January 1-3, possibly until Sunday the 4, then check out. We’d stayed at the Kremling Super 8 all last winter, at least 25 days, maybe more, while snowmobiling at Rabbit Ears pass. On Friday, while we were coming down the mountain, Krystal left a rude voicemail saying we were due out by 11 that day. She had Layla and Rosie move all our things because she said the room was reserved for someone else. I called and explained she was mistaken, but she wouldn’t listen. I said I’d deal with it at the hotel instead of arguing on the phone. She rudely told me she wasn’t there, then hung up. When I got back, Layla and Rosie, who was on the phone with Layla, promptly sorted things out and got us back into the same room Krystal had put us out of. Even after that, I was charged $137.00 for two nights and $187.00 for another day, supposedly at the military rate. Shame on you for charging our veterans and service members this way. I could have booked through Booking.com for $212.00 for two nights, but I normally call the Kremling Super 8 directly and get good rates. We’d stayed at least 25 days or more there the previous winter. I’m very dissatisfied. I’ll contact the Wydam coprate office to complain about Krystal Rivera and dispute the outrageous charges with my credit card company. I’ll also share what happened at the Kremling Super 8 by Wydam on social media. I should have called the police when Krystal removed our belongings without permission. Thanks.

We’ve been stopping here for years on the drive to Steamboat and never had an issue before. This visit was a letdown. The rooms and beds were sufficient, but don’t expect much from breakfast or the front desk ;-) We arrived at 7pm the night before and the desk woman handed us keys and room numbers without telling us anything else, including the breakfast hours. Later, what we thought was our smoke alarm started sounding. We couldn’t find anyone at the desk, and nobody answered the after-hours number. After about 20 minutes we worked out that it was the carbon monoxide alarm. Thinking the battery was dead, we pulled it out and slept without it. Breakfast was supposed to run until 10am, according to a sign in the room. The hotel wasn’t full, with maybe two cars in the lot, and there was barely any food left: three muffins, four granola bars, a couple of instant oatmeal packets, and about five yogurts. My husband and I sat down around 8:45am. When our friends, another couple and their daughter, came in at 9am, the desk woman came in right behind them and snatched up all the remaining food with a snarl and a dirty look before they could get anything. We joked about it since we hadn’t expected much, but our friends got nothing. As we left, my husband asked why she’d taken it. She said, “breakfast is over!” The sign said 10am. Even if it ended at 9am, she could’ve just told us instead of taking everything as if we were trying to steal the breakfast we paid for. She avoided eye contact as we left, and didn’t respond when I said thanks. That’s not the hospitality you’d expect at a hotel front desk.

This is a Super 8, so don’t expect a five-star hotel. I’d call it a solid 3.5 stars, or four for the service and price. It isn’t luxurious, but it’s clean and decent, with good enough bedding and furniture. Some repairs in the room would help, mainly drywall work in the bathroom and updated faucets. It’s well managed and feels safe.

Such a welcoming little place, and the staff were friendly. Layla was so sweet, she put the broncos game on in the lobby for us, and we all got to watch them win. It felt like home!

I booked a room for that night around 10:30pm and got there about an hour later, but the front desk was unattended and I couldn’t check in. There was a phone number on the desk, but nobody picked up despite several calls. I had to find somewhere else to stay late at night. Getting the refund took five days because the manager was on vacation, which made an already frustrating experience worse. I understand things happen, but guests arriving late need reliable after-hours help or a clearer check-in process.
