I do enjoy playing here, and it’s nice to have coffee in the room, along with a little refrigerator. The rooms are pretty nice too, and I love the slippers and bathrobes. But there’s no continental breakfast, which feels like a letdown after all the money people spend at the casino and on merchandise. There’s no microwave either. The room safe wasn’t really safe for me since I couldn’t get a combination. This trip isn’t nearly over, even though we’ve left and everyone is luckily home safe and sound. I hate to sound like I’m on the rag, but I had to mention a few things.

The people working here are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. We like stopping by when we travel through the area, since the parking lot works well for a quick overnight rest. It’s easy to head into the casino for a good meal, play some games, and relax. We’ll visit again on our next adventure.

The food was good and the gaming area was clean, but there weren’t enough pit tables open for a place this size, and there was no poker. The slots felt extremely tight. Northern Quest and this place have the tightest slots I’ve ever seen. I can’t see how a minimum bet of $0.88 should hit a bonus eight times as often as larger bets. I’ll probably skip coming back.

I had a hard time rating this place. The casino itself is pretty nice, and it has a few good restaurants, but I was there for a show in the Cowlitz Ballroom. The seats were packed together, all on one level with no elevation, so it was difficult to get in and out of the rows. That seems especially tough for older people or anyone with a disability. They should either put on two shows a night with fewer seats, or give up a few dollars in ticket sales and leave more room. In an emergency, I don’t think people could evacuate quickly. SMASHBURGER in the casino was another disappointment. Don’t go expecting a full menu: they only had a couple of burgers, and just a couple of shake options too. I was so disappointed. Go to Rock and Brews instead.
