Masterpiece Hotel

If I’m in the area again, I’d stay here. Our room was spacious, and the hotel felt cozy, with stylish art all around. The receptionist was extremely helpful with suggestions for the area. Breakfast was nice too, and you could make your own waffles.

We stopped here for one night while heading down the coast. The room was large, the bed was just okay, and the staff were friendly. I didn’t see an AC unit in our room. Since it was winter, we opened the sliding door until bedtime, which made the room comfortable enough for sleeping. The included breakfast was okay, with a couple kinds of croissants, oatmeal, and cereal to choose from.

I liked the clean rooms, the Dove soap, and the location, but I’m upset about how the front desk staff member Madison treated my fiancé. He was outside with his hands full, and the door was locked. She left him standing there without buzzing him in. It felt a bit racist to me because he’s Hispanic and has lots of tattoos. We were paying customers, and it was really upsetting. I’d like the staff member to get some customer service coaching. Aside from that incident, it’s a nice hotel.

The location was great, and we liked the Jacuzzi room for the two of us. The only issue was that we arrived 40 minutes after check-in time and the room still wasn’t ready. We waited another 20 minutes. We’ll definitely come back.
