It's Saturday, September 27, 25, and this is day three with no working toilet. They're having trouble getting the maintenance guy to show up and are hoping he'll come Monday, which would make it five days without a toilet. I managed a hotel in Reno, Nevada for 12 years, and I find this completely unacceptable. Why does this maintenance guy still have a job? Why isn't there on-call maintenance? Even a handyman from Angie's list would be a reasonable backup. Without one, staff should be able to call a plumber. Charging a guest the full price while they go five days without a working toilet is so unprofessional. I've also waited six days for two triple A batteries for the TV remote, though that's minor next to the toilet. I think Eddie Mijares needs to be on site more to make sure the property is staffed properly and staff have what they need to look after guests.

I booked three days before check-in and asked the clerk whether the hotel had an elevator. She said yes. At check-in, the man at the counter charged my card, then told me the elevator didn't work when I asked for a luggage dolly. I honestly think this was deliberate. The elevator was already out when I made the reservation, but the woman never mentioned it. The room also wasn't clean, with cobwebs. Poor service and cleaning. I won't stay here again or recommend the place.

We arrived at 9 pm and saw a guest checking out just after arriving. I briefly wondered why, then we got our keys and found out. There was no comforter on the bed, just a couple of thin sheets, and the bathroom towels had yellow stains. The room had random stains on the walls, sink, and shower, and a large roach greeted me when I walked in. The elevator was out, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. It was hot, so we ran the AC, but heard dripping all night. The room had no lamps, no central air, and no pots or pans in the kitchenette. Too tired to find somewhere else, we put our belongings in garbage bags so roaches wouldn't crawl into them. Rooms booked through any site other than the hotel site are nonrefundable. There's no night auditor on duty, and after 10 pm you have to call the number posted at the front desk if you need anything.

This place was horrible. The room was dirty and smelled awful. They may leave old, used soap in the bathroom, and roaches were crawling in the bathtub and around the sink. Not a good place to stay.
