The room was disgusting, even though the staff were nice and the location was good. The bathroom needed a full redo, and there was no way I was going to shower there. Paint was peeling from the walls, and the carpet smelled bad and was gross. I asked for a refund right away.

I'd give this a 3.5 if I could. The room was very clean, had the expected amenities, and the front desk employees were helpful. Check-in and checkout went without a hitch. We arrived Friday night with my girlfriend and her son, ahead of our trip to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Nashville the next day. At first things seemed good: it was quiet without being too quiet, and there was plenty of parking. We'd driven in two separate cars since we don't live together, and unloaded our few bags. Later, when we went downstairs for food, construction trucks and a boat had filled every parking spot and were parked along the hotel sides. Getting in and out of the lot became difficult. There were also strange men hanging around outside, which made my girlfriend and her young child uncomfortable. I wanted to mention this as a warning for women and children. I don't know if that happens every night or if it was just that once.

I booked from Jan 30th through Feb 2nd and stayed on the second floor. The rooms smelled good, but the hallway was rancid, like piss, and sometimes the odor got into our room. There were all kinds of stains on the room walls too. On Sunday, the day before checkout, our keys stopped working. When I went to the desk, she told me checkout was tomorrow. I know, lady, I booked it and know when checkout is. The workers were nice, and breakfast was about what you'd expect for the price, nothing special.

We booked the last room by phone during the ice storm, then the next day the staff found a bigger one that fit my family. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, and we're so grateful to have had a warm place to stay.
