Fairfield Inn & Suites Lafayette

The location worked for us, and breakfast was good. The hotel was nice overall and the staff very friendly, but housekeeping put me off returning. I asked about service when we checked in Friday, not realizing they only came every other day. By Sunday evening, after 6 p.m., no one had come, so I had to ask the front desk for clean towels, a garbage bag, and toilet paper. That wasn't acceptable. Housekeeping finally came Monday, replaced the towels and took the full garbage bag, but left the bed unmade. We were checking out Tuesday, and the whole situation was unacceptable to me.

The room was clean and nice, with a firm mattress, and the front desk staff were pleasant. Breakfast was okay, with the usual eggs, sausage, and cereal. I paid $109 at Marriot. The location was really convenient, close to Subaru and the caterpillar plant, and about ten minutes from downtown. Not bad.

My husband, Aunt, and I were all happy with our stay. The staff were courteous and kind, and the shower had great pressure. The rooms were clean and comfortable, especially that very comfy bed. Breakfast was really good with loads of options. We left saying we'd only stay at a Marriot in the future because the stay was so great.

The staff work hard, and the breakfast attendant kept everything stocked the whole time. We also had soft towels, friendly service, and a good price. The lobby booths and chairs are a bit worn, though still okay. The pool and hot tub are actually one small pool, warmed like a bath, which we loved for floating and lounging. The room was very clean and the bed comfy. I'd recommend it at this price.
