Motel 6 Lafayette, LA

Management and staff were wonderful, and everyone made my stay pleasant and easy. It may not be the best area, but the location is convenient. No complaints from me. Would I book here again? Yes, anytime. Thank you, my favorite Motel 6 in Lafayette.

You get a bed, and it’s cheap. The room was clean and affordable, though a bit noisy, with a clearly patched hole in the wall. It’s not in the best part of town either. I’d stay again, but I’d keep my expectations low.

I booked through Expedia, then was told the motel has an issue with them and wouldn’t get the money from Expedia. I had to cancel that reservation and pay Motel 6 directly. If you want to avoid that hassle, find somewhere else to stay.

We stopped at this motel after arriving in Lafayette very late and needing sleep. We paid a $30 fee to check in at 730am, and although we asked for two queen beds, they gave us two full beds. My husband and I had to share one that didn’t even fit us. The front desk and housekeeping staff were rude. On Friday night we went out, and when we got back, our door had been unlocked the whole time. We tested the lock from inside, and it wouldn’t stay locked. When we asked to move rooms, they said we’d have to pay, so we decided to switch motels the next day. We were flatly told no when we asked for extra blankets, and housekeeping tried to walk into the room at 10am as if nobody was there. Then at 11am, while we were packing the car, the door locked us out. I was angry because we needed a key to get the rest of our things out.
