Travelodge by Wyndham Lafayette

The bed was really comfortable, and the staff were more than courteous, so my stay was decent in some ways. But there was a cockroach in the shower, and I can’t give this the stars I otherwise might because of that. Some areas could also have used more cleaning. For the price, I expected about this much, apart from the roach.

The staff were friendly, and this place is fine if you just need somewhere to crash and aren’t too concerned about germs. Our room, though, seemed really dirty: the carpet was grimy, the sheets had holes, and the pillows were very hard.

I’m here often for work, and the location is great. It’s clean, and the owner and staff are very friendly. If you ask, they’ll put a microwave and fridge in your room for free. Breakfast really needs work: cereal, warm skim milk, stale bread, microwave grits, and maybe a banana if you arrive very early. Coffee is hard to come by. It’s not the Ritz, but I keep staying here.

The room was a decent size, and the pool was really nice, deep, and clean. But the toilet, shower, and air conditioning all acted up, and the walls are thin. The place is cheap, though it could use better maintenance and isn’t very good for kids.
