Arabella Laguna

We had the smallest room, a nicely furnished studio with a queen bed, a well-equipped little kitchen, and a cute bathroom. Parking behind the building was easy if you know how to parallel park. There was a partial ocean view from the suite, and the property felt intimate, quiet, and really cute despite being right off the highway. Arabella Laguna is a treasure if you want to spend a couple of days at Laguna Beach and feel a bit like a resident. It's right off N Coast Hwy, across from the beach, so you can take an early walk or explore tide pools. Shops are a couple of blocks away, and a big grocery store is next door. The main beach and the smaller cove beaches, Shaw's and Crescent, are about equally far.

We used one of the cottages to get ready for a wedding at Arabella Laguna. Eight women had plenty of space to move around and do hair and makeup, and the garden made a perfect spot for photos. I'd highly recommend it as a place to vacation or hold a special event.

We stayed in 517, a cozy spot for two. It was clean, quiet, and just right. Getting into the room on arrival was easy, and the host sent me the instructions a few hours beforehand. Communication was excellent. You get a kitchen, a/c, hair dryer, and a lovely yard to relax in. It's a block from the ocean, and you can walk to everything in the city. It felt so much better than a hotel, like a home away from home. I highly recommend it!

We live close by and cross paths with the owner from time to time. She is the least friendly, rudest person you'll come across in Laguna. Before we knew what she was like, we recommended the place to friends. Their flight was rescheduled for the next day, and when they arrived a day late for a reservation they'd fully paid for for multiple days, they were told the room had gone to someone else because they missed the first day. They got no refund. Avoid!
