Disney's Art of Animation Resort

We had a positive stay, but we still prefer Pop century. Unless we have small children, we probably wouldn't return. The dining area was constantly busy, and although I know they can't control that, our food was cold by the time we sat down. It was ok. The pizza is worth it for the price: get a whole pie to share, since individual slices cost more. The cheeseburgers were pretty good too. Our reservation was for a little mermaid standard room, but on arrival we got a magical upgrade to the lion king suite in building 10. It was on the first floor, fairly near the main building, and the extra space was great for three adults and my rented scooter, which needed charging. We stayed three nights; they came on the third day to clean and bring fresh towels.

For our family of seven, the rooms were nice and the pullout beds were appreciated. The space felt a little small for what we paid, but the easy Skyliner access was a plus. The on-site dining worked well for a quick bite, and being able to refill our cups around the clock was handy. It was very clean and we had a good trip. I'd stay again even with the room size.

The Skyliner is one of the best parts of Art of Animation. From between AoA and Pop Century, it's a quick, fun ride to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. I even enjoy taking it just for the views, without going into a park. It's a nice way to get into the Disney mood on arrival night. Art of Animation has been my favorite resort through more than 20 visits, and I always recommend it. It feels like stepping inside the animators' imagination, with huge icons from beloved animated films and details everywhere. As an 80s baby, I especially like that The Little Mermaid and The Lion King are featured. Our first stay was here when my daughter was three, less than six months after it opened. We recently came back for her sixteenth birthday in October, staying in the same room, and then had a wonderful long weekend in a Lion King family suite. The suite worked well for three generations: three beds, two full bathrooms, a kitchenette, and enough room to be together without trying to make two beds work. I like the interior hallways, painted murals, themed carpet, and even cloud-shaped ceiling lights. The welcome feels like coming home. Staff remember us, and at check-in they asked if we wanted celebration pins for our upcoming anniversary. As a gluten-free vegan, I often struggle to find satisfying food away from home, but not here. The dining hall has an allergy-friendly ordering window where you can speak with the chef, plus several allergy-friendly menu options. I can get meals, snacks, and treats all day.

Brian checked us in and was wonderful with the kids. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the boys' first Disney visit, and he even got our family an upgrade to the car suite. The magic started as soon as we walked in. There was so much to do and see around the resort, and we had the best trip ever.
