The rooms were clean and even smelled clean, and the towels at Tru hotels actually felt and smelled fresh, which isn't something I usually find at hotels. We came for the casinos and the price was reasonable compared with nearby places. It works well for families and couples. I'd definitely stay here again when we come back, and recommend it.

For one night, my husband and I found the small, simple room clean and cheaper than a regular Hilton. It's really suited to an overnight stay for one person or a couple, not families or a longer visit. Breakfast was basic but good, with scrambled eggs, sausage, and a pancake machine I loved. Press a button and it makes two pancakes at a time, which is a fun, quick breakfast. I'd return if I'm in the area.

The room and bathroom were small, but that's a minor gripe. Breakfast wasn't a huge spread, though there was plenty to make a filling meal. The biggest drawback was the rate, $450 for Friday and Saturday when nothing was happening. $225 a night in Lake Charles feels out of control, even with the casinos and efforts to bring in big concerts and comedy acts. Still, the room and shared areas were very clean, modern, and up to date, and the cleanliness was especially good. I usually find mold or other people's shed hair on towels, beds, or in the bathroom, but here I found just one hair. It's been open a few years and is still in great shape. I hope they keep up the cleaning and renovate as it ages instead of just painting over problems. It's a very good hotel, and I recommend it.

After a long day driving, being able to check in online and head straight to our room was great. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the hotel was clean and in a good location. There were games and snacks for sale too. Breakfast had omelets, polka sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, and other choices. We had a really good stay, thanks!
