The Forester Hotel, part of Unscripted by Hyatt

We used The Forester Hotel for our wedding room block, and the whole experience was wonderful. Liz was flexible and helpful with all the details, gave us a personal tour, and even treated us to brunch at the restaurant. She greeted my wife when she arrived and helped her unload, check in, and bring our things to the room. The staff also distributed our guest gift baskets, which made things easy. Our suite had champagne, a lovely card, and gifts for our two children waiting for us. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. We had a spacious suite with a great kitchen, and appreciated being given connecting rooms. The fall decorations around the property were lovely, and everything we ordered at the restaurant during our several meals there was delicious. We highly recommend The Forester Hotel for weddings or a stay in the area. Big thanks to Liz and the team for making it so special.

The after-party at the bar was lively, well-staffed, and a perfect end to the night. The Forester was also a huge help with our wedding weekend. They handled the room block, passed out welcome bags and customized key cards, and made sure the rooms were ready and comfortable. When we needed extra things for the getting-ready suite, they brought them up promptly and helped set them out. Lake Forest had a water quality issue that weekend, and they provided water bottles for everyone as soon as the alert came through. They also left a nice note and champagne for my husband and me as a special touch.

The reception was wonderful, and all the staff were amazing, but Suzie at the restaurant really made us feel at home, like we were the only ones there. For the best stay in or near Vernon Hills, come here, as long as Suzie is working. Thanks for such a lovely time!

I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always great. The hotel is very clean, the bar is nice, and the staff have been great on every visit. We’re heading back this weekend for hockey games.
