Sonesta Simply Suites Irvine East Foothill

We’ve stayed here every year for five years and had always been happy with the service. That changed today when we asked for a little extra time at checkout because of our daughter’s softball schedule. The older woman at the front desk was extremely rude and showed no compassion or effort to help. We won’t stay at this location again. I wouldn’t recommend it, since I want to stay somewhere we feel welcome.

It’s cheap, but you get what you pay for. The building is old, the walls are paper thin, and there was construction noise right outside my window all day. Basic services suck, and Manager Alrich Jereno was completely useless.

For two nights straight there was no hot water, so I couldn’t shower. The front desk didn’t respond and said they couldn’t move me because the hotel was fully booked. They also said there was no maintenance available because it was too late. Guests should be able to count on hot water for a shower. Avoid this place at all costs.

I only needed a place to stay while some remediation was done at my home, and the staff made the booking and check-in much easier than expected. They went way above and beyond to help us. The rooms are really spacious, and for this area the price is unbeatable. Absolutely phenomenal. I’m local, and I wish I had more reasons to come back.
