Lodge Geneva National

I came in the afternoon on March 8 and left very unimpressed. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and made me uncomfortable. She spent most of the time on her phone, which didn’t seem professional. This isn’t my first bad interaction with employees at this location, and I won’t be coming back. It’s sad, and I hope they can improve their staffing.

We had a really nice meal at Crafted inside the hotel. The Italian food was good, and our server was nice too. She was busy and took a while to get to us, but she still gave us good service, and everyone at the table left her a really good tip. The woman who checked us in was welcoming and explained everything clearly. The hotel feels cozy, especially in winter. I’ll definitely come back, and next time I’d like to visit in summer when the outdoor pool is open.

The room looked brand new and was very nice, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. I wish I’d known when booking a couple of months ahead that renovations were underway. Breakfast was very disappointing, overpriced, and lacking, more like the free breakfast at a cheap hotel.

The resort has a relaxed feel, with a nice balance of upscale comfort and a casual atmosphere. The setting is beautiful, from the rolling golf courses to the peaceful lake-country views, and the property is immaculate and thoughtfully designed. We found plenty to enjoy, whether golfing, relaxing by the pool, visiting the spa, or having a drink and some food. Dining options were solid and convenient. Our spacious, spotless room was comfortable and carefully put together, and the staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout. Check-in and dining both felt easy and welcoming.
