The room looked like the last guests had just left. I could see through the window that the beds were unmade, trash was scattered around, and everything looked filthy. Inside, there was a terrible smell, grimy mirrors, urine on the toilet seat, and trash everywhere. I wasn’t going to let my wife and son stay there. When I complained, the owner blamed his staff. I told him he owned the place, so it was his responsibility. He’d already given off a sketchy vibe, and during check-in he admitted the rooms “weren’t very nice.” That should’ve been our warning. We booked this motel because the price was low, the photos made it look decent, and it was near Cloud 9. My wife and son had planned a trip to Lake George, but we left right away and had to find another hotel at short notice. It cost $1,000 for two nights. We’re now at Fort William Henry Hotel and having a blast, worth every penny. Spend the extra money and avoid this dump.
