We came for my birthday with my family, and the quiet, relaxed setting made it a memorable stay. The accommodations are simple wooden buildings with a classic resort feel, not especially luxurious, but the peaceful atmosphere more than made up for that. Rates were reasonable, parking was plentiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We needed halal food, and the staff were careful about our dietary restrictions, including ingredients that can come from non-halal meat. Marshmallows can contain gelatin, so they arranged vegan ones for us. That meant we could join in making s’mores by the campfire with chocolate and crackers, which we really enjoyed. We explored Lake George, with its swimming beach and boat rides toward the mountains and the far end of the lake. There are also lots of nearby national parks for nature lovers. You’ll need a car to get around, including to the nearby town for shopping, food, or restaurants. The resort has its own kitchen, though we mostly ate out.

We had a great time here in 2023 for our son’s lacrosse tournament and my wife’s birthday. The grounds were well kept, our room was clean, and the staff quickly helped us settle in. We also had a lot of fun on the horseback trail ride. Hardeep and his daughter were very helpful. We liked it enough to stay an extra day. When we tried to book for the following year’s trip, our reservation was abruptly canceled, leaving us scrambling to find replacement rooms. We would’ve liked to return, but we’re not sure whether the resort is open. We’d appreciate some kind of update if possible.

We had a good time here last weekend. The pool was really clean, and our bed and room were comfortable. The campfire and s’mores with the other guests were fun too. The host was friendly and told us about his plans for the property. He’d become the new owner 90 days earlier, and his ideas for renovations sound like they could make the place amazing. We plan to stay here again when we’re back in the area, and would recommend it to others. There should be more to come in 2024.

We came before the tourist season starts in May, which made it easy to explore without crowds. It was a wonderful first stay: the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there were nice bathroom towels, shower gels, shampoo, an ironing board, and a hair dryer. The managers were pleasant and great to talk with. The location is ideal, just a couple of minutes from the village of LG. I can’t wait to come back, see how the renovations turn out, and visit the horses on this beautiful ranch.

Those territorial geese will chase you, but somehow it adds to the place’s character! The staff are so courteous and helpful, and my seven year old daughter said, “I’m going to miss this place.” It’s a clean, relaxing resort that works well for families. We enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor pools. There’s no coffee maker in the room, but the morning walk to the Cafe for coffee was worth it, as was breakfast. A great escape from the city. We’ll definitely return.
