The downtown Lake Placid location made it easy to leave the car parked. We drove out only twice, and that was a relief after seeing how hard it was to find public parking. The lot looked small at first, but we always found a space. We had a great Valentine’s weekend in a clean, comfortable king room with plenty of room for two. We didn’t go to any of the events, though it was nice to see family options on the schedule. We barely spoke with the front desk, but when we did, everyone was polite and nice. A great stay for the convenient location, clean rooms, and pleasant staff.

The concierge at high peaks made an early check-in easy and helped us throughout our stay. Our room was fantastic, the view was amazing, and I could imagine living there for a month. I’ve visited lake placid before, but this time the rustic feel of the place made the whole trip feel more complete. The location, service, atmosphere, and theme all fit together perfectly. I wanted a winter adventure at Mirror lake and got it, with high peaks resort as the cherry on top. It was a unique, one of a kind stay, and I know I’ll be back soon.

Waking up to the Mirror Lake view made the stay special. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredible, always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. High Peaks Resort is in a perfect, convenient spot with everything nearby, and Whiteface Mountain is only about a 20-30 minute drive away. Beautiful views and outstanding service. Highly recommended.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful subzero Miracle on Ice week in Lake Placid in Jan. 2026, and the whole High Peaks team deserves a salute. When our car wouldn’t start on the first morning, the maintenance crew quickly gave us a jump so we could get going. Front desk staff helped with all our needs, and "Forella" even printed a couple of pictures so I could surprise my wife on her birthday. Tony at the bar served us well and poured a good drink. Booking with Ryan & Riley was great. They went above and beyond to get us the best view and parking on the 4th floor. Riley also suggested a better route from Ohio, avoiding snowbound Watertown. The Lake House has a fantastic view, and the rooms have a nice mix of rustic and modern. It’s a great location, just steps from the main street, and all the employees were great. We appreciated the champagne at check-in and cocoa and cookies in the lobby. The yoga was especially nice. Brooks was a gem and very accommodating to us beginners. The Lake House pool room could use a fresh coat of paint, but the water was fine. I’ll likely come back.
