Spark by Hilton Lakewood Denver Southwest

Travis helped me get my car started after checkout, and I really appreciated it. I had a restful weekend here, exactly what I needed. Nothing fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and affordable. Everything worked well. Breakfast didn't have many hot options, but I enjoyed the bagels and yogurt bowls.

This was basic and budget-friendly, and it was okay, but I wouldn't return. The biggest problem was housekeeping: nobody cleaned the room even after two nights, and spilled soup noodles stayed in the hallway for two days. I don't think I saw a housekeeper at all during my stay. The phone in my room didn't work, and staff said that was a common issue. I'm sure the fire marshal wouldn't be happy about that. The lobby lighting was brutally harsh. Bedroom lighting was adequate, but the rooms could really use dimmers. The bathroom was cramped, old, and creaky, though otherwise adequate.

Matt's care really made the stay enjoyable. He responded quickly to a maintenance problem with the thermostat, and the staff were friendly. This basic, budget-friendly Spark by Hilton had comfortable beds, an adequate room with a fridge and microwave, and complimentary breakfast. The location was convenient for a quick morning return to the Interstate, though Denver traffic on Thanksgiving Eve was crazy.

The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms had a smart TV, microwave, and mini fridge, though you may need to adjust the fridge temperature at the back. There's coin laundry, a water station for bottles, and coffee and tea available all day, though they may not be hot. The bathroom tiles felt loose or soft, with signs of earlier repairs. The shower showed the hotel's age: it wasn't well supported and squeaked with every step, though water pressure and temperature were fine. Breakfast was continental, with oatmeal, cereal, bagels and toast, boiled eggs, fruit, and a vanilla yogurt dispenser with toppings. It wasn't great if you're diabetic or want a hot protein option. Refrigerated and frozen items were available to buy, with a microwave to heat them. We booked because of good reviews and it was the second-least expensive nearby. Bring your own toilet paper, because I think sandpaper might be softer. It was a good night's stay overall, apart from the toilet paper and breakfast.
