The staff were great, and management quickly helped me move when I asked for another room. The hotel itself is another story. My first room faced the busy highway, and I barely slept that night because every truck came through loud and clear. The room at the back was quieter, but I could still hear traffic, people in the hall, and even guests in the lobby from the second floor. The walls are thin, the doors have gaps underneath, and the windows do little to block sound. If you’re sensitive to noise or need quiet to sleep, this probably isn’t the place for you. The rooms are dated, and there was also a smell of a freshly lit cigarette. Aside from that, it wasn’t bad.

We spent over 30 minutes trying to check in. The desk was empty for 15 of those minutes, and when the clerk was there, communication was difficult. The shower had almost no pressure, and I had to squeeze water out of the individual showerhead openings because they were clogged with hard-water buildup. The bathroom light also kept shutting off after two minutes, so it went dark five times during a 10-minute shower. At night, the motion sensor turned the lights back on whenever we tried to use the bathroom. The online listing promised queen beds, but the beds were full size, and when I called the front desk, they acted as if I was the problem and said every room only had full beds. I wish we’d slept in the car instead of wasting our money.

The worst part of our stay was being woken at 1:30 AM by the night manager talking loudly to a coworker in the laundry room next to our room. I went to the desk in my pajamas to complain. She denied it was her voice, then argued with me before eventually apologizing without admitting she’d woken us. We raised it with the day manager the next morning. That person should be fired. Wyndham and its Baymont brand should be embarrassed to have their name on this poorly managed property. There were problems all over the place. The parking lot had cracked asphalt, the handicapped ramp was still covered in snow after three weeks, and the accessible space was poorly marked. The lobby was tiny, so finding a place to eat the sad free breakfast was difficult. Breakfast was coffee, juice, tiny muffins, cereal, bread, and a waffle maker. Our room looked worn out, with tape marks on the carpet, peeling furniture, and missing grilles on the HVAC unit. The advertised roll-in showers weren't actually accessible, since each shower had a lip that a wheelchair user couldn't get over.

I was here two years ago before the renovation, then came back last week. The place looks completely different now, much more modern from the lobby through the rooms. The beds were really comfortable, and breakfast was okay, especially the waffle maker. Wow, they’ve made major improvements. I’ll be back.

The room itself was nice, with no carpet and a walk-in shower, and the whole hotel was clean. Beds and towels were crisp and white. They brought extra towels and bedding without any pushback, and housekeeping was very nice, she deserves a raise. The furniture does look like it came from a liquidation sale, though. Breakfast was there, but you could tell they were cutting costs. The mini muffins were stale, and instead of small milk cartons there was one whole gallon in the fridge for cereal. They had waffles but no syrup. Also, whoever was at the desk seemed to be micromanaging the guests, which felt weird.
