Walnut Lawn is a small inn with just four guest rooms, and the two sitting rooms downstairs make it easy to relax and get to know the other guests. It’s in the heart of Amish Country, close to the attractions, and Beth can help you plan your getaway. Beth makes you feel like family from the moment she greets you and shows you around the house, explaining where things are and how they work. She’s thought of little comforts too, including earplugs and a white noise machine for light sleepers. We didn’t need either once we turned out the lights. The rooms are immaculate, with soft, silky sheets, warm cozy quilts, and showers with real water pressure. Breakfast is served at 8:30 each morning, and it’s a delicious three-course meal. Beth cooks like the "Barefoot Contessa," and takes dietary restrictions and preferences into account. You’d have to try pretty hard not to leave full. With her care and attention to every detail, staying here feels like having your favorite cousin Ina Garten run a B&B.

Beth was considerate from the start. She offered me a larger room when I arrived, but I was comfortable with the one I had, and the thoughtfulness meant a lot. Her breakfast was wonderful, and she can accommodate people’s needs. She also gave me good suggestions for places to eat. I wish I’d asked her on my first day. It was nice to chat with the other guests around the dinner table and meet everyone. I also got to meet Chris and Rooney the Dog. I stayed three nights, had a wonderful time, and would highly recommend Walnut Lawn Bed & Breakfast.

Beth was a marvelous host, and our room was cozy and clean. We had a wonderful weekend at the bed and breakfast. I’d recommend Walnut Lawn Bed and Breakfast to anyone staying around Lancaster.

We felt like we were staying with family. The other guests we met over breakfast were lovely, and Beth welcomed us so warmly that the Walnut Lawn felt like a home away from home. My husband and I had a wonderful, blessed stay, and the Garden Room was just right.

The breakfasts were delicious, and the house and rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. Beth, the owner, was so nice and accommodating, with wonderful hospitality. Walnut Lawn B & B is an excellent choice in Lancaster PA. I highly recommend it, definitely five stars.
