I got to the property around 8 in the evening and was met by a mold and mildew smell in the room. The place felt inhumane, and I think city officials should condemn it or burn it down. A woman who looked homeless stood at the end of the building and asked me for spare change each time I passed, saying she wanted to buy a “sodapop at the gas station.” Inside the room, the repairs were cheap and obvious. One dresser drawer had been Gorilla glued and taped, as if a guest wouldn't notice. The room was poorly cleaned, the furniture was worn out, the underside of the toilet seat had dried pee stains, and a clump of hair was blocking the shower.

I walked out as soon as I saw the room and am still waiting to learn whether they'll refund me. There were cigarette burns on both bed covers, no iron, hair and feces on the bathroom floor, and trash left in the bins and scattered around the room. I asked for a different room, a refund, or someone to clean it. The desk worker said no one could help and there was no number to call, not even for an on-call manager at 6:30pm on a Friday night.

Everyone was so kind, from my first call to the hotel through checkout, and I'd definitely come back. The room was clean and smelled fresh, with comfortable beds, a nice desk and chair for working on a computer, and a handicap room. The shower was clean, the air conditioning worked great, and the new refrigerator and microwave worked excellently. There’s no pool, but the morning breakfast bar had hot coffee, tea, fruit, and bagels. There were also ice and soda machines.

We left immediately and I checked out, telling the desk person why. He said he'd tell management. I also wrote to Booking.com, but they said they wouldn't post my review unless I rewrote it. It felt like they wanted to censor the truth. Please don't stay here. My husband and I booked a last-minute room through Booking.com while we were in Lancaster for a show at the American Music Theater. The choices were limited and this hotel had a fair rating. At check-in the lobby was closed except for a slotted plastic divider. The desk person was friendly but looked under the influence, and pointed to a handwritten no-refunds sign. We went straight to the show without seeing the room. When we returned around 10 pm, we entered through a filthy, sticky back door. The building smelled strongly of cooking grease and body odor, and the stained hallway carpet crunched underfoot. Other guests, or possibly long-term renters, were going from room to room. The room was shocking: stained, slept-in-looking sheets, old dirty furniture, and a stained lampshade. When my husband turned on the bathroom light, roaches scattered into the switch and across the sink. The bathroom was disgusting, and the mini refrigerator was iced over.
