Lori and Bob were so welcoming from the moment we arrived. The organized office made check-in easy, and Lori gave us a tour and explained the history of the B & B. Our room was spotless, with two windows, air conditioning, plenty of outlets, a large bathroom, and a small fridge/freezer. Each day Lori cleaned the room and left fresh towels. The back patio looks over a field, flowers, and farms, and there’s another lovely patio just outside the room in the landscaped front yard. At 0800 each morning, we could get delicious fresh coffee, hot water, and a selection of tea; there was also a microwave at the coffee bar. The water was hot and soft, with great pressure. Both hosts went out of their way to point us toward local food, antiques, and other places to check out, and they had lots of up-to-date brochures. It’s peaceful and feels safe, with a central location that’s within walking distance or a drive from plenty of activities. We definitely recommend it. It felt like home away from home.

We were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and relaxing our stay was, and we’re already planning to return. Lori and Bob were fantastic hosts, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and well cared for, the rates were reasonable, and the location made it easy to reach everything we wanted to visit. We could even hear the clippty clap of horse-drawn carriages. We’d usually picked well-known hotels, which were pricey and limited how long we could spend in one of our favorite areas. Trying a place run by local residents worked out so well. It seems best suited to adults looking for a quiet place to unwind. Thank you, Lori and Bob.

We had a great weekend getaway and enjoyed the friendly service and lovely location. The back room has a great view if you can get it. The shower head needs replacing because it mostly just mists, and the walls are thin enough that we could hear the upstairs renters walking around, using the bathroom, and running the exhaust fan.

We spent evenings on the back patio watching the sun set, and the farm view from our clean room was lovely. Homestead Lodging is a beautiful B & B, and Lori was friendly and helpful. My husband planned the getaway and I’d been a little worried, but he did a fantastic job. Lori put out fresh baked goods for continental breakfast, and the blueberry buckle was delicious. She also suggested places to eat, and all of them were exceptional. We didn’t meet Bob, but the gardens showed his green thumb. The lodge is handy for all the Lancaster attractions. We didn’t get to take our balloon ride, so we’ll definitely come back as guests. Thanks for making the stay wonderful.

The owners pay wonderful attention to detail, and the careful housekeeping shows throughout the B&B and its beautiful property. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and serviceable, though I’d rate them above four stars but short of five. Lori’s a wonderful baker, with delicious sweets alongside a perfectly serviceable continental-style breakfast. Call the owners directly and you can save a few bucks.
