The front desk woman was super rude, and the male manager was no better when I tried to complain at checkout. The rooms are old and not worth $65. Bring your own pillowcases and blankets. I wouldn’t use the towels, they look yellow and like they’ve been washed a million times, and need replacing. The sink water never got hot, and breakfast was a joke, so plan to eat somewhere else. The parking lot needs paving. If you have a low car or nice rims, don’t even think about it. Absolutely horrible. If you stay here, you’re just hard-headed.

The price was great, and our room was clean with a nice front desk staff. The beds were doubles, so they seemed small compared with beds elsewhere, but they were more comfortable than some places I’ve stayed. No bed beats the one at home, of course. Some outlets didn’t work, the bathroom light flickered now and then, and a lamp went off randomly before coming back a few minutes later. From outside, the hotel looks abandoned and haunted, and it badly needs renovation. We stayed in the building with the office, so I can’t say what the other part looks like inside. I can’t believe it has the CHOICE name, though I’d stay again because the room was clean. The reservation lady said breakfast was available, but when we checked, we were told it wasn’t because of COVID. Other Choice hotels had brought breakfast back, and even if it had been offered, I’m not sure I’d have trusted it. The cops and coroner were there from 3am on the morning we woke up, on the side where we weren’t staying. I have no idea what happened. If you want a 3-5 star hotel, this isn’t it. For a cheap, clean place to sleep, it would work.

The price was good, the room was clean, and the service was genuinely friendly from check-in through the stay. The Motor Inn is old, but that didn’t show where it mattered, and daily upkeep was great. Choice Hotels has a lot of places along RT 30, but this one was night and day compared with the last one. My Beautiful Condo is ready, and I’m glad my little vacation is over. Rodeway Inn made that final leg of waiting worthwhile. I’d give the hotel 5 stars.

You get great value here for Amish country. The Outlets are nearby, and Texas Road House steak house is next door. The location is excellent, the room was immaculately clean, and the front desk employees were professional and felt like family. I can’t say enough good things about this diamond of a hotel.
