Red Roof Inn Lancaster

The Wi-Fi was extremely fast, there was ample parking, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is newly remodeled and very clean, with tidy rooms and lots of TV channels. I definitely recommend it for families.

The internet worked well enough, but there were barely any cable channels worth watching. The room had no desk, just a small table with chairs that were far too low. It hurt my back to use the table, and the chairs were no good for sitting to watch TV either. The facilities were closed or outdated, though there were plenty of gambling “skill games.” The free breakfast, 24-hour business center and 24-hour fitness center were all gone. There wasn’t even a decent table anywhere for a family board game. Very disappointing. Towels were too few and too small.

The parking lot was very busy, the area around the hotel was noisy, and I kept running into cigarette smoke walking to and from my room. The room had been updated, but the sink clogged quickly. There was no safe. Bathroom towels were tiny, about the size of a regular doormat, and badly worn. My car-cleaning towels are bigger and in better shape.

The room was nice and clean, with a fridge, freezer and microwave. We had to ask for extra towels, since apparently the two-bed studio only comes with one set.
