The Inn at Langley

I was able to charge my car while I was there. I also got to photograph a couple getting ready for their wedding. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the views were incredible, even though the weather was moody that day. There were great indoor and outdoor spots for photos during their first look. What a beautiful place.

We stayed two nights, had dinner, and really enjoyed our visit. The Inn has complimentary drinks in the room mini bar and snacks in the lobby. The tub overlooking the water was a lovely touch. Breakfast is included, with salmon, freshly baked bread, potatoes, eggs, and other things. Kim at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Dinner was fantastic too. It began with complimentary sparkling wine or brut, and every dish was thoughtfully arranged and delicious. My favorite was the Dungeness crab. Kudos to the chef for putting together such a good meal single-handedly. We’ll be back.

The staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout, from the front desk and spa to the breakfast server and chef. The spa suited the size of the Inn and the feel of Langley, and its little touches made the experience even better. My husband and I booked a couples massage and steam room before our one night stay, a treat for our 12th anniversary without the kids. It all felt luxurious but still cozy and comfortable. We appreciated the non alcoholic drinks and snacks in the office and rooms, the duraflame logs, and bath salts for the soaking tubs with water views. The carefully made breakfast was scrumptious, especially the creamy yogurt with crunchy, perfectly sweet granola. The rooms had quality sheets, fluffy pillows, toiletries, and throw blankets we used outside on the deck while stargazing. It was a perfect place to unplug and reconnect. I’m already scheming about our next stay.

The Inn at Langley has been our favorite Seattle getaway for special occasions for 15 years. The rooms are serene and beautiful, the staff kind and unpretentious, and breakfast is outstanding. I love sitting on the huge balcony watching waves, birds, and harbor seals, and the soaking tub looks out over the water. Complimentary snacks and non alcoholic drinks are a nice touch, and the Inn is close to everything in Langley, making it a great base for exploring Whidbey. We’ve rented Airbnbs nearby, but nothing matches staying right on the water in such a warm, welcoming hotel. Windstorm power outages delayed our recent trip, and Kim patiently helped us arrive a couple of days later. The Inn always makes our visits memorable and cozy. See you next year!
