Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laramie West

We chose this hotel for the pool, but the pictures don't match what it's like. It's very small and freezing, more like an ice bath. When we asked about warming it up, staff said there was nothing they could do. My mom had booked two beds and a pullout couch, but the room had two beds and a rollaway instead, and it was much smaller than we expected. The thermostat even had an out-of-order sign on it. Absolutely the worst.

Our room was spacious and very clean, and the hotel was great with our dog. Breakfast was good too, and everyone at the counter was in a good mood.

The bathroom in the replacement room was just as bad, with a sink that looked like the filthy tub in the first room. That tub had hair, marks all over the shower wall, and pink-orange buildup on the caulk. Staff said it had been cleaned the day before when I showed them photos. I don't think they realized I could tell how long caulk like that would take to get that way without cleaning. The kid at the front desk hummed along to the music and seemed not to care. I know Holiday Inn isn't a top-end hotel, but this was gross, the kind of thing I'd expect at a Motel. I usually enjoy staying at your hotels, but not this one. Please talk to the cleaning staff about cleanliness standards.

The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were cozy and quiet. Staff were friendly and professional. It's close to gas stations and the interstate. Breakfast was just okay, not the best.
