La Quinta Inn Laredo I-35

I’d had good service at another Wyndham Group hotel, Days Inn and Suites Laredo, TX, so I chose La Quinta Inn I 35 Laredo, TX on November 16, 2025. This stay was a bad experience. A discarded bed blocked the stairs and hallway outside, making it hard to reach the room. Inside, the tub had mold, the paint was stained, and the bedspreads were dirty and marked, with hair on them. I asked for all the bed linens to be changed. Breakfast was very basic, and there were too few dining tables for the number of guests.

The rooms were fairly clean, but there was no bath faucet or drain plug, and noise was a problem all night. You could hear the road, and the walls and doors between neighboring rooms seemed to do almost nothing to block sound. The listing gave a poor impression of what to expect. The buildings disappointed me, and only the reception area felt like La Quinta. The rest of the property didn’t compare with a proper La Quinta.

We had a terrible night here with my family. The room smelled foul, and the bathroom and tub were damp with visible mold. My child has allergies and got severely congested within hours, so I had to run to CVS for medicine. When we needed help, staff were nowhere to be found. Breakfast was called complimentary, but there was only cereal and two small tables, with no other food. I strongly don’t recommend this place.

The sink took an hour to drain, and the tub took more than half an hour. There was no tub plug either. I told the staff about it, but they were very unhelpful. The room felt like you get what you pay for, and my first thought was that I’d picked a motel in a bad part of town. I won’t book here again, and I’m not sure Wyndham is worth it anymore. At the last place I stayed, I had to clean the tub before I could shower.
