We were mostly there to sleep, and with such a low fare I honestly can’t complain much. If you can handle yourself, aren’t timid, and mind your business, it can be a good stay. I live in a similar area, so the neighborhood wasn’t too much of an issue for me. But don’t bring your kids here. The location is the main downside. Prostitutes were coming and going from neighboring places, and a lot of nearby buildings are closed or burned down. The pool was empty, there were lots of homeless people around, and at one point a woman knelt in the street screaming. A man told her she needed Jesus, then she chased him. Photos definitely need updating. The low fare came with some good basics: fun decor, good AC, a fridge, microwave, shower, cable, and hot water that got hot quickly. The building is historic, and there are lots of places nearby for rideshares, 24-hour food, and quick DoorDash. Convenience stores are across the street, an easy walk in the daytime. We didn’t really need service, so can’t say much about how they handle problems. When we did talk to staff, they were kind and helpful, and let us check in early because our flight was so early. The bedding was dirty and had burn holes in it.

Might just be luck of the draw, but my no-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke, and there were homeless people sleeping right outside it. You get what you pay for, though. Nothing was stolen, so if you need a cheap place, this might work.

Clean rooms, great service, and a convenient location with fast food and a gas station nearby. My room had good AC and everything worked well. I’d definitely recommend Desert Hills if you’re coming to Las Vegas. Five stars from me.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a flight issue, and only managed to reach someone a few times. When I called back with questions and information for someone checking in, every call went unanswered. It felt like they were avoiding me so I couldn’t get my room. Customer service is all the way in hell, and communication is absolutely awful. I’d never book here again.

There was nobody at the room when we arrived, and we were told to go to another location to pick up a key. After getting it, we returned to the motel, opened and locked the door, then took the key back. This place isn’t fit for a dog. It smelled like mold, and other reviews mention roaches and bedbugs. I can’t believe it, this place needs to be shut down. I had to find another room somewhere better so I could feel safe and lie down. If you’re looking to book here, don’t waste your money or time.
