We’ve stayed here several times over the years and have never felt unsafe. The parking lots are well lit, with plenty of spaces, and there are no added resort or parking fees. The hotel is older, but it and our rooms are always clean. We haven’t personally dealt with housekeeping, while the front desk and kitchen staff are a big part of why this is our go-to when we visit Las Vegas. When there’s a problem, it gets sorted quickly and satisfactorily.

Everything we needed was included in the price, which made this a much more practical and affordable choice than a lot of fancy resorts. The room had a working fridge and microwave, a tub, WiFi, and air conditioning. It was smoke-free, and there was free coffee all day and night. Breakfast was complimentary, with eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, and more. The pool and hot tub were open 24/7. Laundry cost $2 to wash and $2 to dry. The staff worked hard and were friendly. I’d book here again.
At 4:08 am, while I was exhausted and trying to sleep with quiet music at volume 12, someone from the hotel banged loudly on my door to complain that it was too loud. The room layout is cramped too. The bed and dresser leave so little space that getting to the AC or heat means squeezing through. I’ve stayed at many Wyndham hotels, and this one was nowhere near as courteous as the staff I’m used to. DO NOT STAY HERE!
The building felt very outdated, and the shower floor squeaked loudly and seemed loose or cracked underfoot. For comparison, I’d stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton the night before for $100 total, where the room was twice the size and much more comfortable. The billing problems were frustrating too. At check-in, I asked the front desk associate to confirm the total. She said it was right, but 15 minutes later I saw she’d charged me for one night instead of two, so I had to call back myself to fix it. At checkout, another associate said I was checked out, but it hadn’t been done. I kept getting reminder emails, and it could have led to another $25-$50 in charges if I hadn’t corrected it. The stay was a disaster from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return.
After leaving, I noticed four separate card charges totaling almost $700, even though the smoking fee was $250. I’d also paid for the third day in advance and didn’t get that money back. I’m fine with being charged the smoking fee and having to leave, since I understand that smoking was my fault, but the other charges upset me. I’ve stopped the transactions through my bank because I believe those charges were unauthorized. The manager, JAMES, supposedly made the decision to have me leave. I booked three days in person and came from Miami with my family, two adults, two kids, and two dogs. A camera crew with me booked a separate room too, since we were blogging about Vegas. I told the night desk worker I was an influencer, and he offered to waive the pet fee. On the second day, two women came to my room about a smoking complaint, which I still think may not have been true. I told them I had smoked by the window and apologized. They seemed fine with it, and I agreed to pay the fee and not do it again. Five minutes after they went back to their desk, they called and told me I had to leave. I didn’t argue. I didn’t pay much attention to the signs and didn’t realize the hotel was non-smoking. Most Vegas hotels, even the very nice ones on the Strip, allow smoking. The staff seemed nice to my face, but I found them two-faced and lacking hospitality. The location wasn’t nice either. It was a busy week in Vegas, and most hotels were booked, or I wouldn’t have stayed at a La Quinta. I’ll be filming the hotel and location for my Vegas blog this weekend and sharing my opinion of the place and staff. My social media name is savage Miami, and I also blog with Stevewilldoit, Jack Doherty, and Aidan Ross. You can find me on YouTube, TikTok, Kick, and Parti. Wyndham knows who I am because after I posted a blog about TRYP BY WYNDHAM in NYC on New Year's 2023, showing how rude the staff were, its reviews fell from 4.7 to 3.2 in a week. I said it cost them significant business in 2024, with lots of cancellations. Wyndham later contacted me and offered 10 complementary stays at any of their locations worldwide, and the employees were terminated. I’ll share this experience too, and I don’t recommend La Quinta or anything else under the Wyndham name.
