The room had a great view, and the blackout curtains were much appreciated. The place felt almost brand new, though I don’t know when it was built, and the customer service was great. I wish I’d stayed longer to enjoy the amenities. I’d definitely go back.

The room felt like a cave and got depressing at times. Why are there so few lights? Still, this is a good hotel that could be a bit better. It’s well placed for Dennys Fashion Mall Vegas and the arts district, with a great pool, gym, and in-house dining options. The old-school Vegas fun has faded, though. Restaurant service has slipped, and I miss staff asking why you’re visiting or recommending hot spots. The sushi place has great cocktails. La Vida margarita place has good food but poor service, and Red Taiks pathetically closed its kitchen at 8 on a Thursday night. The shops are okay. Suns Out is a fun, quick breakfast spot, and Juniors is a decent dinner choice that costs less than nearby places.

The room has snacks and drinks but no price list. If you ask for the minibar to be locked, they conveniently leave it unlocked. Parking prepayment in the online check-in doesn’t actually prepay anything. It only tells you there’s a fee, then you have to scan a QR code and pay separately, even though their check-in process and a phone call say to see the front desk and have it added to the bill. Online check-in through the app doesn’t work. Their system only works on an iPhone, so without one you have to wait an hour in line to get your key.

We stayed four nights and enjoyed the rooms and city view. The resort fees already brought the bill to $220, and there wasn’t even coffee or anything in the room for guests. It felt greedy to add more charges. Check-in and checkout were very slow. During checkout, an associate came down the line asking for room numbers and said we’d get an email confirmation. Four hours later I still hadn’t received one, so I came back before our later flight and asked for a receipt. There was a $60 discrepancy, with the receipt showing more than I should have paid. The gentleman corrected it, but the dishonest billing and extra fees changed my rating from five stars.
