I left after about 20 minutes with my four-year-old and my sister, then had to find another place. It cost $10 less and was spotless. I’m pretty sure my daughter and I picked up a virus just from being in this room. She found a used dental flosser pick lying in the middle of the floor. There wasn’t even a towel or bar of soap, and I have photos of how filthy the room was. The place seemed chaotic: staff appeared to be partying with guests, kids were running around cars in the parking lot, and dogs were loose. I’m not new to Motel 6, but this was ridiculous. I’ve spent a week trying to reach a supervisor, and the customer service line only “offered” a $16 refund. I got the email proving that. Staff keep saying the supervisor is gone and won’t let me speak to one. I don’t live in Vegas. I want a full refund, and I’m going to file a complaint with the legal team and sue to get my money back. I’d post the photos, but I can’t find an option. This property is nasty and feels like a scam.
A friendly customer service team makes this a good low-cost place to stay. Since my last visit, they’ve cleaned the place up a lot, and the associates have clearly worked hard to make it safer. It’s budget-friendly, too.
The best part was the price: $182 total for Thursday and Friday in a two-queen room, probably the best deal around. The rooms felt secure, the locks worked, everything was functioning, and the hot water was great. It was clean apart from the flooring. I rented three two-bed rooms, but each had only one set of towels, not enough for everyone. The smoking rooms smelled awful, though they’re in the process of making all rooms non-smoking. The night crew was definitely rude, but later tried to make up for it. There’s laundry for $2 a load, plus an ice machine and hot water at the office. The place felt sketchy, even though it was well lit. Someone backed into my car and left without a note, which wasn’t much of a surprise. I wouldn’t stay again. Lesson learned.
We only ended up here because it was a last-minute trip and most hotels were sold out. It was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. The rooms had black mold and smelled like rat droppings. There was no shampoo or body wash, and no iron or ironing board. My wife couldn’t use her hair dryer because the switch kept shorting out. On the second night, we waited 40 minutes to have our room keys programmed again. One employee was on their phone while another argued with a guest. There are plenty of other places to choose. Stay away.
Both rooms had dirty sheets and no towels. We’d booked non-smoking rooms, but they smelled as if someone had been chain-smoking in them. I also paid extra for a mini fridge and microwave in each room so we could quickly make food for the little kids. Neither room had either one.
