The kids spent hours at the indoor amusement area and carnival games, so there was plenty for our family to do beyond the room. Circus Circus has a nostalgic Las Vegas character that feels different from the newer resorts. Our room was clean and comfortable and had what we needed, and the hotel was good value for the price. It’s also conveniently located for getting to the Strip and nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in was straightforward, and we had an enjoyable stay. For an affordable family trip, we’d gladly consider Circus Circus again.

The location is good, but this wasn’t a happy stay for our family of six, and I don’t recommend it. The rooms were dirty and unappealing, including a dead roach inside the bathroom wall art. We’d booked online a month ahead and still weren’t given the room we reserved. Check-in was understaffed, with only two clerks. They claim to have 100 cable channels, but there weren’t many. The food at Big Top Cafe gave us food poisoning, and the back entrance area on the first floor smelled of sulfur or moldy water. The hotel advertises itself as family friendly, but it didn’t live up to that in person.

The main reason I’m writing is that I left two pairs of designer Dolce & Gabbana glasses in their case in the room, one prescription pair and one pair of sunglasses. I reported it to lost and found with security and spoke with the housekeeping supervisor, Carmen. I’m waiting to see what happens. If they’re returned, I’ll gladly update this review to reflect a better impression of the hotel’s integrity and customer service. If not, it will add to the serious concerns guests have raised about safety and how belongings are handled during and after checkout. With some parts of the property and parking garage already feeling sketchy, I’d avoid it altogether at this point. It isn’t worth the headache, and this situation reflects on the hotel’s ethics and integrity. I was there for a last-minute trip while my daughter toured UNLV, checking in 4/17/26 and out 4/19/26 from Skyrise Tower, room 18720. The price made me choose it despite the reviews. Free parking, a clean room, and a comfortable bed were positives; for a quick stay, it did the job, but I wouldn’t vacation here. It’s not very walkable, the property is dated, and the elevators were a nightmare. You don’t need a keycard to get to the room floors. The staff were nice, but there weren’t many around if you needed something. Towels felt like cheap, hard paper and smelled odd, and some parts of the hotel felt sketchy. Budget friendly, but ghetto.

The room photos on the website looked nothing like the rooms we got. We booked six nights, but had to ask for housekeeping before anyone came on day three, and they still didn’t replenish the coffee or water. The website also said the pool was open, but it was closed when we arrived with the kids. It advertised free daily circus acts, but those only happen on weekends, which was a letdown. At the theme park, almost all the kids’ rides were closed during the three hours we were there. I’m thoroughly disappointed and won’t stay here again. This place is a dive, and I really don’t recommend it.

My 9-year-old had an amazing birthday at Circus Circus. The updated room was fine, and there was enough to do at the hotel that we only went to the Strip once, for about two hours. He didn’t like the hot weather there anyway. The staff were amazing, and we had a great time at the Adventure Dome, especially the SpongeBob ride and arcade games. The buffet wasn’t tasty, though. I’d highly recommend bringing your kids here.
