We'd had our reservation for months, but it was cancelled with six days' notice. The weekend turned out to be extremely busy, with a cannabis convention, a Raiders home game, and EDC, the huge EDM festival. I'm sure they could collect double or triple what they planned to get from us, so it seemed like an obvious money grab and pretty unethical. They said it was because of “maintenance issues,” but come on. They were jerks about it, offered no consideration or condolences, and got hostile quickly. They said they didn't care if they screwed us or left us unhappy because there was so much rental interest in their house. That was pretty telling. If they genuinely felt bad about not being able to rent to us, there were plenty of ways to show it, but they didn't even give a sincere apology. If you book here, know that another “maintenance issue” could leave you high and dry with less than a week to find somewhere else.
