After years of staying here, I figured a room mix-up was no big deal. We were first given the wrong room type, and the front desk said I had booked it that way. I showed my confirmation email, which proved I had booked the right one, and they moved us to the room I’d reserved. Then I found animal bones and toilet paper with human feces in the room. We cleaned it ourselves because we didn’t want to switch rooms again. I tried to let that go and enjoy my mom’s birthday, but the property seemed badly understaffed, which felt unsafe in a neighborhood with a lot of crime. Sam’s employees confirmed that staffing had been cut and jobs combined, leaving people overworked. Security also entered rooms at random times under a new policy. I had my service animal on file, yet security questioned me about her. I don’t understand why they didn’t know about her before entering. The policy made us feel more like inmates than hotel guests. Checking out turned into another mess. We called for a bellhop and got no answer. I carried all our luggage to the car, only to find Sam’s had closed the parking garage without telling guests at check-in or by email or text. There were signs on the doors, but they hadn’t been there when I parked. I spent an hour in the security office trying to get my car out, and security even put a tow notice on it while it was stuck. The notice was missing the tow date. The head of security said the date was there and that closure warnings had been posted in the elevators. I showed him photos of the notice and elevators that proved otherwise. They eventually found a way to get the car out, but told me to wait another hour. After waiting, I got in and realized the garage still wasn’t open for me to leave. When I told a nearby guard it was supposed to be open, she started screaming at me. Once home, I called Sam’s front desk about a room charge and was left on hold for an hour. After all the birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions my family and I have spent here, we won’t be back.

The casino was fun, the bartenders and cocktail waitresses were nice, and the staff were helpful and friendly. There’s also plenty to do inside, from the arcade and movie theatre to the pool and hot tub, plus lots of food choices and some really cool decor. We had a great stay and spent most of our vacation outside of EDC here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the environment felt safe. We’ll definitely come back.

The beds were really comfortable, and everything in the bathroom worked properly, unlike at some other hotels we’ve stayed in. Our room was super clean. It’s a great place for family time, with evening entertainment for couples too. I highly recommend it when you’re in Vegas.

The hotel is spacious, so it works especially well for seniors and people with limited mobility. We appreciate the short walk from garage 2 to the food court, with the room elevator right there. Parking is free, food and souvenirs are reasonably priced, and there are lots of penny slots and table games with $5 minimums. It’s not too smoky, either. There’s a great deal at the movie theatre: matinees are $5.50 and regular senior tickets are $5.75, plus you can get a free bowling game with a movie stub. Rooms, bedding, blankets, and towels are clean, and the beds are comfy. Everywhere is clean, and I feel secure with guards patrolling the hallways, food court, garage, and casino. The staff are kind, helpful, and courteous, and seem happy to work there. It’s always a good stay at Station Casinos. The taco place in the food court was expensive and not tasty, with a lot of MSG and salt, so I wouldn’t go there again.

There’s plenty under one roof here: bowling, a movie theater, sports bar, fast food court, steak house, cafe, full casino, and an indoor park with water features and animatronic animals. It has that classic Las Vegas feel. If you can, get a room looking out over the park, it’s worth it. Everyone we met on staff was helpful and friendly. Security can arrange special parking for an oversized vehicle like an RV or U-Haul. I’ll be back.
