Sahara Las Vegas

We stayed in Alexandria Tower, and the suite was comfortable and very spacious. It had a separate living room with a sofa, dining table, fridge, coffee machine, and half bath. The bedroom had a king bed, TV, sofa, alarm clock, and desk with chairs. There was a huge bathroom with two sinks and a walk-in shower, plus another bathroom with a door. There was lots of storage and plenty of useful things, including an ironing board and iron, hair dryer, bath robes, single-use shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, bar soaps, shower cap, shaving kit, and mending kit. I didn't care for the wall tapestry, though. We were out most of the day but spent some time in the casinos. There are lots of restaurants, shops, and cafes inside, along with a monorail station. Parking is free, and the staff were friendly. It's at the end of the strip, but that was fine for us. Prices were reasonable. The spa is on the 2nd floor.

We came back to Sahara in Vegas for our third year, and it was another great trip. The whole place felt well cared for: housekeeping refreshed the room and towels every day, and everyone we passed, including the security staff by the pool and drop-off areas, was friendly and on top of things. Dinner at Balla Italian Restaurant was a highlight. Daniela took great care of us, professional but warm without hovering. The room had lively music and a casual, polished feel. I had a French Martini, and my husband and I shared his prosciutto & burrata before I ordered the filet and he had Chicken Marsala. Both were superb. We also split the garlic and cheese whipped potatoes, then finished with my chocolate tarte. A really lovely meal. We also went to the free Dualling Pianos show on a Friday or Saturday night. It’s a lively sing-along to popular songs, with chances to make requests, not a classical piano concert.

I loved the room service and the stay. The place feels quiet, without a crazy rush around you, and the beds are really comfortable. I was on the 21st floor in a corner suite in Alexandria Tower. It had its own entrance and elevators, which felt quaint.

It’s easy to get to from the Strip, so the commute was short when I was working in town. The free self-parking is close to the rooms, too. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I got fresh towels every day. The service was great, and the rooms are much better than at some standard chain hotels.
