We’ve stayed here twice with family over the past two years and had a great time at this no-frills resort. We booked through Airbnb, so we didn’t have to deal with the office or front desk. The units were neat, clean, and fully functional, and there’s plenty of open space with benches and chairs. You can be at the beach in seconds on foot. I think most units are studios, though, so it could be a challenge if you have a lot of stuff.

The communication was horrible. I showed up for my reservation carrying three suitcases weighing 150 pounds, but there was no office, nobody answered the phone, and the mailbox was full so I couldn’t leave a message. I was left out in the pouring rain, soaked along with my luggage. At 67, it was terrible having to carry two suitcases and a 50# duffle bag down the street alone in the rain. Save yourself the hassle and go to TROPIC SEAS down the street. EMMY will take great care of you, and the rooms are perfect!

For this price range, it’s quite nice. The room was spacious and clean, and I enjoyed sitting on the patio with a sea view. The motel supplies beach gear, including two chairs and an umbrella, and guests can use sunscreen too. The pool is small but right by the beach, and restaurants are all within an easy walk. The one downside was a moldy smell.

There’s no sign or address number, and nothing to show where the entrance or front desk is. It feels like a mystery trying to find the place. What a dump.

This is a good place to sleep in a great location, and I was comfortable giving it four stars based on what I expected. It’s quiet and dark at night, with clean sheets, fresh towels, and AC units that keep the rooms cool. The building is old but solid, and it’s not a luxury hotel with staff asking how they can make you comfortable. A few things can be tricky: some windows don’t work, and there’s a musty smell that you eventually get used to. The tiled stairs have one shorter step that could trip you, and there are 4" steps in the third-floor corridor where you could stub your toes. I can live with those issues for a place to stay in such a good location. It’s not for divas.
