Quality Inn & Suites

At $60-$70, I felt ripped off, especially after paying the same amount for a much better room at a Comfort Inn in Tallahassee. Even someone on a budget would be better off staying elsewhere. I would have rather slept in my car and kept the money. My wife and I had booked a king bed but were given two full beds. The sheets and pillowcases were filthy, and the comforter was stained. The shower was disgusting, so bring shower shoes. The towels were low quality and tiny, barely big enough for a small child. Though the property is supposed to be smoke-free, the room smelled of smoke. The curtains, carpet, and walls were banged up. At 2:00am a man banged on our door trying to get into the room. Thankfully, our car wasn’t broken into. We were very disappointed and won’t be back.

The only thing that looked clean was the sheets and bed. I wore shoes the entire time because the carpet and tile were filthy and grossed me out. There were patched holes all over the room, and I have no idea what they were from. Most of the furniture was badly beaten up and needed replacing. The AC felt more like a swamp cooler, and the room never really got cool. We would have canceled if we could. That dangling exit sign by our room should have been our cue to turn around. The front desk staff were always kind to my husband, but there was no extra toilet paper, tissue, or hand soap. For four people, they gave us two bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth. When we asked at the desk, they said they had only one more towel. The back half of the hotel was closed, presumably because it wasn’t habitable. I didn’t feel safe there, and one employee was smoking weed out back when we parked. Please find somewhere else to stay. This motel needs to close, and there’s no way it’s meeting city or state codes.

Breakfast was great, and the ladies looking after it were so sweet, with real southern charm. They even cleared our trash from the table, which I didn’t expect. At check-in, the man at the desk was welcoming and gave us plenty of helpful information. Our room was clean and smelled fresh, and housekeeping did a great job. We felt more than welcome and had a fabulous stay. Highly recommend.

Kim, one of the receptionists, gave me a ride on her own time so I could get to a funeral. There aren’t any taxis or hotel vehicles, and the staff were great to me. Still, I was disappointed by what I got for my money. I work hard and expected the advertised breakfast area, with its Belgian waffle maker, but the room I assumed was for breakfast was empty except for an empty cooler. I got a cup of cold coffee from an urn at check-in instead. My room looked as if it had been broken into many times. The tub fixture, the nozzle the water comes out of, fell off in my hand. The furniture was broken, and the place needs more than new pictures and pillows. It feels like this motel has been neglected by the corporation.
