The room was spotless, and we checked the mattress sheets, toilet, shower, corners, windowsill, and curtains and couldn’t find a thing to complain about. It smelled clean too, and my boyfriend is very sensitive to smoke, so getting a non-smoking room without a smoke smell mattered a lot. We had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot with tea and coffee, and vending machines around the property. The elevator was a plus, since we’ve stayed in places with stairs only. We needed somewhere at the last minute and saw plenty of options nearby. After comparing how the buildings looked from outside, we decided to try Quality Inn. The woman at the desk welcomed us warmly and was pleasant to chat with while we booked. She seemed knowledgeable and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. She said we could return to the desk and move rooms at no extra cost if anything was wrong. The price for a queen bed was reasonable, and we got two beds at no extra charge because that was what was available. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it over other places in the area.

There’s plenty of parking, and the place is surrounded by different shops and restaurants. The room was clean and didn’t smell, and the staff were friendly and respectful. The bathroom has been updated, though it’s still kind of small. They’re renovating, so the hallways and floors look nice. The scenery isn’t much, but that’s okay. Prices are reasonable, and I’ll come back.

We’d had a good first stay, but after coming back I won’t return. The tub was filthy. A nice gentleman at the desk said housekeeping had gone for the night and that he’d leave a note for the morning staff. At 11:30am I called down, and the older woman on duty was rude, dismissive, and condescending. She insisted there was no way he could have left a note, even though there are pads and pens around the hotel. Nobody ever cleaned the tub, and none of my other concerns were dealt with. I woke up with a bite on my arm, which made me think there might be bedbugs. My husband and I went out and bought bedbug spray. It’s a nasty hotel, and when you raise an issue they make you feel like you’re wrong for expecting decent service. I think they’re horrible at customer service, despite what they say in interviews, and should be fired. I doubt they mean their apologies when they reply here, maybe Choice Hotels requires them to respond. I’d give zero stars if I could. Book somewhere else. You won’t see my name on the reservation because it was under my husband’s name. Check-in was 4/17, checkout 4/21, room 492. Choice Hotels should have better standards for who they franchise to. It shouldn’t just be about money.

The outside looked a little run-down and the area seemed lower end, so I was hesitant when I drove up. Inside, the staff made a much better impression. Everyone greeted me and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a good stay. Front desk and management were pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. Housekeeping kept the rooms welcoming and clean, and the pool was clean too. There’s free breakfast, 24-hour coffee, and a microwave in the room. You can tell management has made changes to help guests feel comfortable despite the low budget. It’s a good choice if you want a lower-priced hotel with friendly service. I’d stay again if I were in the area.

I ended my planned two-night stay after one night and was relieved not to pay for another night. Staff and management were inconsistent the next morning, and the customer service and professionalism made the stay miserable. The entrance gives a decent first impression, but that doesn’t reflect the rest of the place. Though the front desk said the whole hotel was non-smoking, our room smelled. The sheets looked clean when I checked them, but the old, torn mattresses were hidden under covers. Breakfast was basic, with bagels, waffles, fruit, and yogurt. There were eggs and sausage too, but the eggs looked too wet and the sausage seemed undercooked, so I didn’t risk eating either. It also seemed as if local residents used the place as a stopover or rented rooms now and then. I didn’t trust the room enough to leave personal belongings there. My two-night booking turned into one night, and I was glad not to give this place another night’s payment.
