Red Crown Inn

I live in Waldorf and work in college park, so I stay here a few times a week. The rates are fair, and the room has what I need: a clean space, working AC, and a shower with hot water. I like checking in, ordering food, then sitting in bed to watch the yankees on TV. I haven’t had a problem so far. Good value for the price.

The Red Crown Inn works for a night or two if all you need is a place to rest. Check-in was easy, the room was reasonably clean, and the price was fair. The Maryland City location is convenient. Still, it wasn’t especially comfortable or modern. The bathroom and furniture could use updates, noise from other guests comes through the thin walls, and the Wi-Fi signal was unreliable at times. Decent enough, though there’s room for improvement.

The customer service was excellent, and the hotel is conveniently placed near lots of shopping centers. My room was clean, though it could use a few upgrades, like a pressing iron and hair dryer. I’d recommend it.

The rooms were comfortable, and the AC got really cold. What stood out most was how friendly and helpful the staff were. I’d accidentally booked one night instead of two, and a staff member came by to let me know, very nicely. They also gave me the discounted rate from my first night. When they noticed I was in the lobby trying to get WiFi, they checked in and reset their extender so I could connect. They went out of their way to make the stay pleasant. It’s not a luxury hotel. The halls were hot and smelled a bit, and there was no breakfast or coffee.
