The room also seemed to have bed bugs, and several days later I’m still dealing with bites from that stay. I told the front desk about that and the broken AC before checking out. They said the manager would contact me as soon as possible, but a couple of days have passed with no response. When I call, I keep getting excuses, such as that the manager is on vacation. I checked in the night of May 23, 2026, and left May 24. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. We arrived late after a long drive and found the room’s AC wasn’t working. A front desk staff member came to check it, but said it couldn’t be fixed then. Since it was already so late, we had no practical way to look for another hotel and had to spend the night in an extremely uncomfortable room without air conditioning. Very disappointing, especially with no follow-up or accountability after such serious issues.

The rooms were clean, and the two male employees were friendly and trying their best to help. But at 9am the free hot breakfast was extremely skimpy: one egg, no meat, a medium-warm waffle maker and two slices of toast. The coffee machine offered mild, strong and bold, but all three tasted like warm brown water. Nobody was there to refill it.

The only good part was the young girl working the desk the first night, but she couldn’t do anything, and it took a while to get service. Often nobody was there, so you had to use a phone to get anyone’s attention. There were loud parties at all hours, no fruit at breakfast, and the manager wouldn’t speak to me or refund the first night despite the problems. The area was crappy, and the whole stay was no good. The first room had ants, then I was moved to another with only one bed, stained carpet, and a smell like weed throughout the entire hotel. Terrible customer service.

The TV cord was disconnected, but I found it behind the console and fixed that myself. Otherwise, I enjoyed my visit to Laurel MD. During my four-night stay, I requested room service, but it never happened. I asked the housekeeper for clean bed linens, then ended up making my own bed and cleaning the room for the rest of the stay. The hair dryer burned out as soon as I plugged it in, and I never got a replacement.
