The breakfast was really good, and everyone I spoke with was polite. After talking with management, who kept me updated on the ecolab investigation and was incredibly thoughtful, I changed my rating. They clearly care, and this seems to have been a mishap. Now that they're addressing cleanliness, I think it could be a fine place to stay. At first, the rooms weren't clean. We found bed bugs in our first room, and both rooms had a lot of food crumbs, including whole pork rinds and Cheerios. The front desk was helpful and had no problem switching our rooms.

Room 207 was horrid. When I opened the door, the wet-dog smell hit me like a slap. I had to turn down the AC to dry the room out. The mattress was hard and worn, and the bathroom floor was filthy. The grout was white under the sink and black everywhere else. I left with a sinus headache. My wife got out early the next morning to avoid the room and sat in the lobby while I took care of business in town. I'm done with this hotel brand.
10/10
The rooms were roomy and clean, and the customer service was wonderful. I'd definitely stay here again.
10/10
I had a good stay. Breakfast and coffee were good, and the room was both comfortable and clean. The staff were courteous and helpful. The location worked really well, with Blowing Rock, Boone, and Wilkesboro all within 30 minutes.
10/10
The glazed donuts at breakfast may have been the best I've ever had, and the elevator's duck-like quacking made us laugh. We'd come back for the donuts alone, 10/10 :D The hotel is small and a bit dated, but we felt safe and comfortable. Our spacious room had a king bed, TV, nightstands, and a table.
